What we offer at Tallarook Park

Riding Lessons
I offer private and small group lessons to riders with their own ponies/horses. I have a small selection of schoolmaster ponies/galloways available for riders to learn on in a private, small group lessons environment.

All riding lessons by appointment.
Prices ½ hour Private session - $40
45 min Private session $60
½ hour group session $35
1 hour group session $55
All lessons by appointment.

All riders require Riding boots, or a small heeled gumboot or similar. Helmets are available at the stables. Part of learning to ride is also horse handling, tacking untacking, washing and feeding your pony also. I like to incorporate all these basic elements of handling a horse into our riding sessions.

If you are unable to come for any reason, the lesson fee (as applicable) is to be paid.
Please remember that when you have booked a lesson, one of the ponies is reserved especially for YOU at that time of the week. If you can't make your usual time, it may be possible to slot that week's lesson into another day with with adequate prior notice. (24 hours notice minimum)

If the weather is bad (raining or very hot) lessons may still be held. In wet weather, lessons in cleaning gear, grooming, saddling or quizzes may be held, in very hot weather, lessons may be held in washing, grooming, trimming and other aspects of horsemanship.

TALLAROOK PARK - ACTIVITIES / SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Saturday Saddleclub Saddle Club Saturday 21st January 10am to 4pm. Cost $80 per rider Riders need to bring packed lunch box, drink bottles, sun protection and all riding gear. A day of morning arena session, followed by lunch break, an afternoon of jumping, games and bareback riding. Bookings essential, first in first served basis. Term 1 2012 – starting Wednesday 1st February. Riding lessons and activities will be run on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons for term 1.

Saturday Saddleclub

AGISTMENT - Prices as at 1st Januray 2012.

Top class agistment for your horse, establishment is professional, neat and tidy, which is run and managed by property owners. As our centre is small, there is a limited number of horses we take on. All our horses are fed up 6-7am, stables mucked, work done and put out into day paddocks, all horses come in off the paddocks from 3pm for the afternoon shift of feeds and hay.

Full Board – Stabled WIWO with lights, Horses hard feed morning/night with hay, individual day paddock, use of 2 arenas floodlit, Jumps, blocks, dazzle boards all here, warm water wash bay, float parking available, suitable for adult riders or child riders with parents who supervise.

Prices Full Board (ponies up to 14.2hh)
FB - $175 PW includes all feed/hay ($25 per day)
Part Full Board - $126 PW ($18 per day) – same as FB – you supply and make up your own feeds.

Horses over 14.2hh
FB - $196 PW includes all feed/hay ($28 per day)
Part Full Board - $140 PW ($20 per day) – same as FB – you supply and make up your own feeds.

Paddock FB – same as FB, no stable.

Paddock FB $154 PW – Very limited positions available.

LEASING A TALLAROOK PONY

Part Leasing 2012

We have a small selection of horses available for part lease on our property. We offer Part leasing which gives the Leasee access to the stables 3 days a week. Horses come with all tack, rugs and equipment, a weekly riding lesson is included on one of the leasing days. Leasing days Monday through to Thursdays after school hours.
Cost: $100 pw Includes use of horses, vet fee’s, Worming, and farrier costs.
